Aim (aka Andy Turner) the critically acclaimed musician, DJ and producer, uses a Diago Showman pedal board and Powerstation effects pedal power supply. Discovered by Mark Rae, his music is a blend of intricate melodies, powerful hip hop beats and stunning vocals about lost love and winter weather. He released his first two albums - Cold Water Music and Hinterland - whilst signed to Grand Central Records, leaving in early 2005 to form his own record label, ATIC Records. Flight 602, Aim's third album - and ATIC's first - pushes the boundaries even further than its predecessors. It proves its mettle by seamlessly moving from hip hop (without rapping) to acoustic folk backed by programmed beats; all bound by great songs. His live shows in recent years have increasingly comprised a full band. After a few member changes, the line up is now a solid unit, providing a much more interactive and ultimately more fulfilling experience; both for Aim and his audiences. Aim and his wonderful band will be out on tour promoting Flight 602 throughout October and November. |
