Cut the cable cleanly, straight across, using a very sharp knife or sharp-bladed cutters. Ensure that the conductors have not “smeared” across the cut end of the cable as this will cause a short circuit.
DO NOT strip the cable!
Remove the screw cap from the plug body.
Push the cable end into the plug body then apply pressure until it bottoms out - the centre pin in the jack will make contact with the wire in the centre of the cable.
Using your thumb, bend the cable over into the slot at a right angle. Screw in the screw cap until it bottoms out - the sharp edge cuts through the outer sheath to make contact with the screen cable.
