Quist - aka Jacob Quistgaard - is an award-winning Danish guitarist and songwriter, based in London.

Picking up the guitar at age 6, Quist moved to London in his teens to study at the UK version of Musicians Institute (G.I.T.) where he was awarded the title "Outstanding Guitarist of the Year". He then landed a scholarship to study Jazz at London's Royal Academy of Music, having his recording debut for Sony Music Denmark whilst still studying.

A hard-working and versatile virtuoso guitarist, Quist is in ever-increasing demand, having worked with a huge variety of artists, incl. Jamie Cullum, Missy Elliott, Little Mix, Stooshe, Alison Moyet, Gilles Peterson, Kristina Train, Valerie June, Andy Grammer and TM Stevens (James Brown).

Quist has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elisabeth Hall, Abbey Road (Live on Channel 4), Jools Holland, BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio, as well as on numerous top drawer international Radio/TV sessions and major festivals, such as Bestival, Oxegen, Montreux Jazz, Eurockennes and iTunes Festival.

His youtube channel QuistTV (http://www.youtube.com/QuistTV) has accumulated over 3,5 million views and is growing extremely fast. He has also written the book "Rock Guitar", which was published worldwide by Parragon in 2011.

In 2013, he has written and recorded many popular front page features for worldwide guitar publication Guitar Techniques Magazine, which - together with his increasing focus on putting out his own music - has further established him on the international guitar scene.
